Kate Preston Hair & Beauty – Readers Choice Salon of the Year 2015 Runner Up

Over the past months the team and I have been working on ‘The News’ Hair and Beauty awards 2015

The awards are now in their fifth year and aim to provide a platform to recognise, reward and celebrate the local talent within the hair and beauty sector.

In June we were shortlisted for every category that we entered including Hair Salon of the Year, Junior Stylist of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Gents Hairdresser of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award. In each category we showed some of the great work that has been done in the salon over the past few months. The whole team has worked so hard and we were thrilled to find out we had been shortlisted.

Thirteen of the categories had been judged by top names of the hair and beauty sector. There was also one category which was judged by local readers of ‘The News’. We had so much support from all of our salon visitors voting for us either my text message or filling out a form and sending it to the events organiser.

The awards ceremony was held July 4th 2015 at Portsmouth Guildhall, it was a glittering event to celebrate the outstanding talent and success of the local hair and beauty industry. We enjoyed a lovely meal surrounded by other businesses, the atmosphere was great and you could see from the excitement just how much these prestigious awards meant to other hair and beauty salons.

We are very proud to announce that Kate Preston Hair and Beauty were awarded Readers Choice Salon of the Year runner up. We received a lovely trophy and enjoyed speaking to The News and having our pictures taken. It really means a lot that our visitors have enjoyed their experience here so much to vote for us! We couldn’t have done it without you.
